Format: Commander

Commander: Urza, Lord High Artificer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck helms Urza, Lord High Artificer as a mono-blue artifact-combo/value engine. The primary plan leverages Urza's ability to tap artifacts for blue mana and his {5} activation to exile and cheat spells from the top of the library, fueling explosive turns. The deck is packed with artifact-tutor Mages (Trinket Mage, Trophy Mage, Treasure Mage, etc.) and Fabricate to consistently assemble its key pieces. Win conditions are multi-pronged: infinite mana via Clock of Omens + Urza's Construct token + a mana rock, then using Urza's activation to exile the library and cast everything until Laboratory Maniac plus a draw spell seals the game; self-mill with Mirror-Mad Phantasm followed by a cantrip with Lab Man; or a soft lock with Karn, the Great Creator + Mycosynth Lattice. The deck can also fall back on large artifact threats like Darksteel Colossus and Kappa Cannoneer.
