VU Lonis

Format: Commander

Commander: Lonis, Cryptozoologist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic Clue-and-token value deck helmed by Lonis, Cryptozoologist. The plan is to flood the board with nontoken creatures, convert every ETB into Clue tokens, then multiply those tokens with doublers and artifact engines until the board becomes overwhelming. Lonis, Cryptozoologist is both the primary investigate trigger and a late-game thief who turns stockpiled Clues into stolen permanents. Token multipliers (Parallel Lives, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Academy Manufactor) and ETB doublers (Panharmonicon, Virtue of Knowledge, Starfield Vocalist) accelerate the engine, while flicker pieces rebuy Lonis triggers. Primary wins are Mechanized Production (eight same-name artifacts), massive Clue animation via Tangletrove Kelp / Rise and Shine / Cyberdrive Awakener, and grind-outs with Urza, Lord High Artificer and Junk Winder. The deck plays as a midrange snowball that wants time to assemble, not a turbo combo kill.
