Animar hydras golem by Acero

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Temur +1/+1 counter and big-creature strategy helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements. The core loop is simple: cast cheap creatures to stack counters on Animar, which discounts every subsequent creature spell, then deploy massive hydras, eldrazi, and colossi that snowball through counter doublers like Kalonian Hydra, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. The deck's primary infinite line is Ancestral Statue looping with an Animar that has four or more counters, generating infinite ETBs and infinite counters - converted into damage by Impact Tremors or Purphoros, God of the Forge, or simply an infinitely large commander. Secondary paths are combat beats with Temur Ascendancy haste and Blightsteel Colossus infect. The deck is a classic "cast big things, make them bigger" engine with a compact combo finish.
