Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Rakdos group slug and combo list commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The game plan uses low-cost punisher cards like Razorkin Needlehead, Orcish Bowmasters, and Kederekt Parasite to guarantee opponents lose life during their own turns. Each instance of life loss triggers Valgavoth, drawing up to three extra cards per turn cycle and rapidly inflating the Demon into a threatening airborne attacker. Powered by premier fast mana including Chrome Mox, Sol Ring, and Dark Ritual, the deck quickly converts its massive card flow into universal tutors and combo pieces. The primary route to victory is executing an infinite life-drain loop with Exquisite Blood alongside Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Secondary win conditions include Bloodchief Ascension paired with Mindcrank and punishing draw effects from Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, with Price of Glory and Deflecting Swat ensuring clean protection.
