Deck overview

This Gruul deck is built around Hallar, the Firefletcher, leveraging the kicker mechanic alongside +1/+1 counter synergies to burn all opponents simultaneously. The deck ramps aggressively on Turns 1 and 2 using dorks and cost-reduction creatures like Goblin Anarchomancer and Vine Gecko, enabling Hallar to land on Turn 3. Once assembled on Turn 4, the engine grows Hallar rapidly using counter doublers such as Branching Evolution and growth spells like Visions of Dominance. On Turn 6, the deck achieves critical onset by casting high-impact kicker spells that deal double-digit direct damage to every opponent. The finish is finalized on Turn 8 through follow-up kicker burn and large trample attacks. While the deck possesses explosive direct damage that bypasses pillowforts and blockers, its reliance on keeping Hallar on the board across multiple turns makes it vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and creature sweepers.
