Deck overview

This deck leverages Gwenom, Remorseless as a Bolas's Citadel in the command zone. By accelerating into Gwenom on Turn 3 or 4 and giving her haste via Lightning Greaves, Lavaspur Boots, or Hall of the Bandit Lord, declaring an attack immediately opens the top of the library to be cast using life instead of mana. Gwenom's native lifelink and black's life-gain aristocrats offset life payments while the deck chains through 0-mana creatures, fast rituals, and top-deck tutors. The deck closes the game on the turn of attack using infinite sacrifice loops via Mortuary and 0-drops, Gravecrawler with Phyrexian Altar, or Sensei's Divining Top with Aetherflux Reservoir. Backed by proactive protection such as Defense Grid and alternate engines like Bolas's Citadel, the deck executes a compact, high-velocity combo strategy.
