Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Group Draw engine commanded by Kwain, Itinerant Meddler. It uses symmetrical card draw to accelerate game tempo while breaking parity through cards that trigger whenever you draw. As Kwain, Howling Mine, and Dictate of Kruphix draw extra cards for the table, payoffs like Alandra, Sky Dreamer, Ominous Seas, Homunculus Horde, and Nadir Kraken build an army of flying Drakes, 8/8 Krakens, and multiplying Homunculi. The deck controls the board and protects itself using pillowfort pieces like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison, sweeping with Cyclonic Rift or Supreme Verdict when necessary. High card velocity allows you to hold countermagic and protection spells such as Teferi's Protection and Grand Abolisher. The deck closes games through wide combat damage buffed by Alandra or Akroma's Will, passive life drain from Psychosis Crawler, or casting Approach of the Second Sun.
