Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a hyper-focused Voltron and high-power beatdown strategy built around Yargle and Multani. By pairing the highest base-power commander in Magic (18/6) with low-cost ramp, trample, haste, and power multipliers, the deck aims to eliminate opponents in single-hit strikes. Dense 1- and 2-drop ramp consistently facilitates a Turn 4 commander deployment. On Turn 5, equipping or buffing Yargle and Multani with cards like Hero's Blade, Audacity, or Fireshrieker pushes power past the 21-commander-damage lethal threshold. A robust suite of defensive tools such as Lightning Greaves, Mithril Coat, and Tyvar's Stand protects the massive investment from targeted interaction. Secondary finishers like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Return of the Wildspeaker convert the immense power into table-wide life loss or overwhelming card advantage.
