Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy led by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan revolves around casting under-costed, high-power creatures such as Rotting Regisaur and Waning Wurm, then sacrificing them to Gisa to instantly generate seven or more 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once a wide board of Zombies is established, the deck leverages tribal lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron for overwhelming combat damage, while Noxious Ghoul delivers one-sided board wipes against non-Zombie creatures. Aristocrat payoffs including Plague Belcher, Vengeful Dead, and Ayara, First of Locthwain punish opponents for clearing the board and convert sacrifice loops into direct life drain. While the deck possesses high functional redundancy and potent recursion through spells like Phyrexian Reclamation and Victimize, it lacks unconditional tutors, fast mana, and dedicated artifact removal, operating as a resilient, synergistic, combat-and-drain engine.
