Rootha deck bracket 3 by user5436418

Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spells-matter token deck that converts cheap instants and sorceries into a growing army of Elementals, Dragons, and copied creatures. Rootha, Mastering the Moment is a value-oriented commander: she rewards casting a high-mana-value spell before combat by creating a flying, hasty X/X token. The real backbone of the deck, however, is the 99-especially Rionya, Fire Dancer, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Manaform Hellkite, and Prismari Pianist-making Rionya the de facto hidden commander. The deck wins primarily through an overwhelming token combat step, often closed by Surge to Victory or Furygale Flocking, with a compact Combat Celebrant infinite-combat package as an alternate line. It is not a fast combo deck nor a control deck; it aims to snowball spell-copying and token generation into one decisive combat turn.
