Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain combo and control deck commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. Its primary strategy revolves around assembling deterministic two-card infinite drain combos using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror alongside Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Marauding Blight-Priest. Niv-Mizzet acts as a massive card advantage outlet from the command zone, allowing the pilot to pay life equal to life gained to draw cards and refill resources rapidly. Supported by a robust suite of efficient white and black spot removal, flexible board sweepers, and steady card flow from enchantments like Black Market Connections, the deck controls the pace of play before assembling its combo pieces on Turn 5. Once both halves are established, any combat connection or ping triggers a loop that eliminates all opponents in a single turn.
