Deck overview

This is a Golgari midrange aristocrats and counters deck helmed by Cleopatra, Exiled Pharaoh. The plan floods the board with legendary creatures, stacks +1/+1 counters via Cleopatra's end-step trigger and enablers like Hardened Scales and Winding Constrictor, then cashes them in through death triggers for cards, life drain, and mana. Cleopatra is the central engine: she grows the legendary suite and turns every sacrificed or removed legend into card advantage (at a life cost). Primary wins come from combat with oversized bodies, repeated drain from Vein Ripper, Vraan, Executioner Thane, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, plus finishers like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord sacrifices. Recursion and counter-moving pieces (Reyhan, Last of the Abzan, The Ozolith) keep the engine alive after wipes. The deck plays as a grindy value machine that slowly buries the table rather than comboing off.
