Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius spellslinger tempo deck commanded by Zethi, Arcane Blademaster. The strategy revolves around casting efficient one-mana cantrips, protection spells, and removal during the opening turns to stock the graveyard. On Turn 4, Zethi enters with multikicker to exile these utility spells with kick counters. Starting on Turn 5, Zethi attacks to repeatedly copy and cast those exiled spells, generating compounding card flow and board protection without spending cards from hand. The deck converts this spell velocity into a game-ending win through token producers like Monastery Mentor and Talrand, Sky Summoner, scaling buffs from Leonin Lightscribe, or an alternate finish with Approach of the Second Sun. By Turn 6, the deck establishes critical pressure with a growing army of prowess and flying creatures. It closes out the table by Turn 8 across two response cycles, shielding its attackers with reusable protection spells and versatile countermagic.
