Deck overview

This Bant Superfriends and Token deck is commanded by Alistair, the Brigadier, converting every historic spell into a 1/1 white Soldier creature token. The list is heavily saturated with legendary creatures, planeswalkers, legendary enchantments, and artifacts that continuously trigger Alistair while generating compound resource advantages. Early turns focus on establishing mana velocity through low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers before landing Alistair on Turn 3 or 4. From there, planeswalkers such as Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Dovin, Grand Arbiter, and Nissa, Ascended Animist flood the battlefield with tokens while controlling the board. The deck leverages asymmetric wipes like Urza's Ruinous Blast to clear opposing nonlegendary permanents, setting up a decisive combat finish using Alistair's {8} pump ability, planeswalker ultimate overruns, or anthem engines like King Darien XLVIII across Turns 7 through 9.
