Commander: Xenagos, God of Revels

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Xenagos, God of Revels leads a Gruul big-creature combat deck that wins by doubling a single threat's power each combat. The primary plan is to ramp early, land Xenagos, then drop a high-power trampler such as Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Old Gnawbone, or Ancient Copper Dragon and swing for lethal with haste from Rhythm of the Wild or Lightning Greaves. Secondary paths use extra combats from Anzrag, the Quake-Mole and Bloodthirster, a poison finish with Bloated Contaminator plus proliferate from Evolution Sage and Karn's Bastion, and a board-wide close with Chandra's Ignition. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and The Great Henge act as hidden engines that ramp and draw without the commander.
