Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls leads a Rakdos group-slug deck that turns every opponent draw and every point of life loss into damage, cards, and a larger commander. The core plan is to deploy forced-draw and pain permanents like Stormfist Crusader, Spiteful Visions, and Underworld Dreams, then stack draw-punishers such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Fate Unraveler, Razorkin Needlehead, and Orcish Bowmasters so each draw step becomes a small drain. Valgavoth draws a card and grows whenever each opponent first loses life, turning the slug engine into repeatable card advantage and a flying closer. The deck finishes through cumulative life-loss attrition, massively accelerated by Wound Reflection and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, while Painful Quandary, Roiling Vortex, and Rug of Smothering tax every play. Exquisite Blood keeps the pilot ahead on life during the race.
