Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed cEDH Abzan combo list that pairs explosive mana acceleration with compact, redundant win conditions. Built around fast mana rocks, low-cost dorks, and an elite tutor suite, the list quickly assembles the two-card combo of Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog or initiates a Protean Hulk reanimation pile. The commander, Felothar the Steadfast, provides an asymmetric combat damage engine and serves as a powerful card-draw outlet by converting high-toughness creatures into massive bursts of fresh cards. Proactive silence effects like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos clear interaction windows before executing lethal loops. While the deck lacks countermagic for opposing noncreature spells on the stack, its speed, high tutor density, and flexible reanimation backup make it resilient and capable of closing games decisively by Turn 3.
