Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver commands a Dimir Zombie tribal deck that merges aristocrats value with go-wide swarm combat. The strategy centers on deploying Wilhelt alongside disposable Zombie creatures to draw cards and generate decayed tokens every turn cycle. As the board develops, the deck transitions from value generation to a threatening win condition by casting overlapping tribal lords like Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Eternal Skylord, or resolving massive token spells like Army of the Damned and Zombie Apocalypse. Asymmetric sacrifice triggers from Butcher of Malakir and Ravenous Rotbelly clear opposing blockers while Diregraf Captain drains life totals. Because the deck lacks haste enablers and compact combos, closing the game requires multiple combat turns. Without counterspells or wide protection, it relies on graveyard reanimation to rebuild after board wipes.
