Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red burn strategy commanded by Purphoros, God of the Forge. The primary game plan is to accelerate into Purphoros on Turn 3 or 4, leveraging his indestructible enchantment nature to dodge traditional board wipes. Once Purphoros is established, the deck rapidly deploys waves of creature tokens using sorceries, creatures, and artifacts. Each entering creature triggers Purphoros to deal 2 direct damage to all three opponents simultaneously, completely bypassing the combat step and pillowfort defenses. Damage doublers and triplers such as City on Fire and Fiery Emancipation dramatically accelerate the clock, while Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon punish nonbasic mana bases. The deck suffers from low card replenishment and sparse reactive interaction, but its sheer speed, redundancy of token makers, and resilient commander make it a relentless clock against casual and focused pods.
