Commander: Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Simic tempo/value deck is helmed by Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief, a low-cost flying commander that copies any spell targeting a single other creature onto herself. The deck is built around a dense package of cantrips (pump, bounce, draw), Auras with flash, and heroic/mutate triggers that generate incremental card advantage, +1/+1 counters, and token copies of Auras. The primary game plan is to deploy Ivy early, then use cheap targeting spells to double up on their effects-drawing extra cards, stacking hexproof, and building an evasive threat that grows steadily. Secondary win conditions are combat damage from Ivy and a supporting cast of flyers (Stormchaser Drake, Mocking Sprite, Talrand, Sky Summoner's Drake tokens) and a handful of beefier creatures (Gnarlback Rhino, Wilson, Refined Grizzly). The deck lacks explosive combos or fast mana, instead grinding out advantage through spell duplication and a robust interaction suite that includes counterspells, instant-speed removal, and protection.
