Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Rat tribal strategy led by Wick, the Whorled Mind. The primary plan floods the board with low-cost Rat creatures and tokens to rapidly grow a massive Snail token. Once the Snail accumulates counters, pump spells such as Unleash Fury and Bulk Up, or equipment like Cranial Plating, increase its power into double digits. Wick's activated ability then sacrifices the Snail to deal lethal or near-lethal direct damage to every opponent simultaneously while drawing a fresh hand of cards equal to the damage dealt. If Wick is removed, the deck pivots to wide combat attacks supported by deathtouch anthems from Ogre Slumlord, toxic poison counters from Karumonix, the Rat King, and mass reanimation via Patriarch's Bidding. A solid suite of low-mana interaction and sweepers keeps opposing threats controlled during setup.
