Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red group slug and combo-burn strategy built around Heartless Hidetsugu. The primary goal is to accelerate into the commander, grant it haste, and combine its tap ability with damage-doubling effects such as Furnace of Rath, Gratuitous Violence, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, or Twinflame Tyrant. When Hidetsugu taps while a multiplier is active, it deals 40 damage to opponents at 40 life, eliminating them instantly. Any players surviving at odd life totals are reduced to 1 life and finished off using incidental burn spells or pingers like Thermo-Alchemist and Unruly Catapult.
