Deck overview

This deck is a casual five-color battlecruiser strategy designed to cheat out Progenitus and other massive legendary bombs. It uses opening-hand Leylines such as Leyline of the Guildpact, Leyline of the Void, and Leyline of Singularity to gain passive battlefield advantages and color fixing from the start of the game. The core strategy revolves around resolving mana-fixing cheat cards—including Fist of Suns, Jodah, Archmage Eternal, and Leyline of Mutation—to cast Progenitus for five mana on Turn 6 or 7. Once in play, the commander's protection from everything allows it to bypass blockers and shrug off targeted removal. However, because the deck relies on single-target combat damage without haste or extra combat steps, closing out a game against three opponents takes several turns. The list also features a heavy proportion of lands that enter tapped, limited low-cost ramp, and no instant-speed interaction, leaving it vulnerable to fast proactive decks and global board sweepers.
