Deck overview

This is a mono-black reanimator midrange deck helmed by Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist. The plan is classic graveyard value: fill the yard with dredge pieces, mill engines, and Buried Alive, then cheat out oversized threats through a dense suite of reanimation spells. Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist provides repeatable sorcery-speed reanimation from the command zone, though its reanimation strips abilities and adds the Skeleton type-best used for raw bodies and combat rather than ETB value. Proper reanimation (Reanimate, Victimize, Incarnation Technique, Metamorphosis Fanatic) keeps full abilities on payoffs like Archon of Cruelty, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Vilis, Broker of Blood. Wins come from combat with annihilator/Eldrazi beaters, devotion drains via Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate, and incremental damage from Syr Konrad, the Grim. Big mana from Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast turns the drain spells into table-enders.
