Hydras by TLonny22

Format: Commander

Commander: Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Hydra tribal deck led by Gargos, Vicious Watcher. The core strategy is to deploy early ramp and cost reducers, then cast Gargos to discount all Hydra spells by {4} and use his fight trigger (whenever a creature you control becomes the target of a spell) as repeatable removal. The deck then piles on +1/+1 counter synergies - Branching Evolution, The Earth Crystal, Unbound Flourishing, Kalonian Hydra - to turn mid-sized Hydras into game-ending tramplers. The primary win condition is combat damage, often sealed by Overwhelming Stampede or a critical mass of huge, trampling creatures. There are no infinite combos; the deck relies on overwhelming board presence and incremental value.
