Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy led by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The plan focuses on casting high-mana-value instant and sorcery spells to trigger Rootha's combat ability, generating massive Elemental tokens with flying and haste. By utilizing delve spells like Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise, as well as alternate-cost cards like Fury of the Horde, the deck creates 7/7 and 8/8 threats ahead of curve for minimal mana. It then amplifies these tokens using multipliers such as Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Determined Iteration, and Champion of the Path to burn opponents out or overwhelm them in combat. A solid foundation of mana rocks and cost-reducers fuels these plays, while spells like Surge to Victory and Mizzix's Mastery provide explosive finishing turns.
