Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo strategy that wins through infect and proliferation under Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive. Tetsuko grants unblockability to creatures with power or toughness 1 or less, allowing small infect and toxic creatures like Blighted Agent, Ichorclaw Myr, and Plague Myr to easily bypass blockers and deliver initial poison counters. Once opponents are poisoned, the deck shifts into an escalating proliferate engine using cards like Thrummingbird, Flux Channeler, Inexorable Tide, and Viral Drake to tick all opponents up to 10 poison counters simultaneously. Card draw engines such as Curiosity and Reconnaissance Mission keep hand sizes full, while Teferi's Veil phases out attacking creatures at the end of combat to shield them from sorcery-speed sweepers.
