Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-red spellslinger burn deck led by Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape. The strategy revolves around assembling low-cost pingers, cost-reducers, and damage amplifiers, then chaining cheap cantrips, impulse draw spells, and red rituals in a single high-velocity storm turn. With Gandalf in the command zone, every noncreature spell deals direct damage to all opponents while growing Gandalf into a formidable combat threat. The 99 includes heavy redundancy in pinger effects (Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage) and damage multipliers (Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus), allowing the deck to scale modest spell chains into lethal bursts. High-octane engines like Underworld Breach, Past in Flames, and Virtue of Courage provide immense recursion and card flow, while an infinite combo between Mana Geyser and Reiterate offers an alternate instant win against tapped-out tables. The result is a fast, aggressive burn engine capable of closing games from full health in a single turn.
