Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet tempo and burn list led by Captain Howler, Sea Scourge. It leverages redundant, low-cost looting and rummaging spells to cycle rapidly through the library while triggering powerful discard payoffs. Captain Howler converts every discarded card into immediate combat pump and replaces cards upon dealing combat damage to opponents. The list supplements this combat pressure with direct group damage from Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Magmakin Artillerist, and Cool but Rude, rapidly shrinking life totals across the entire table. High-impact spells such as Chandra's Ignition and extra combat enablers like Port Razer help close out games quickly. While the deck boasts exceptional card flow and built-in Ward protection on its commander, it remains vulnerable to sweepers and relies on sustained combat steps to finish off all three opponents.
