Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain engine commanded by Amalia Benavides Aguirre. The strategy revolves around deploying low-cost lifegain permanents, known as soul sisters, such as Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Auriok Champion. Each lifegain event triggers Amalia's explore ability, rapidly growing her power with +1/+1 counters while drawing land cards to ensure consistent mana development and graveyard setup. As Amalia grows, secondary drain engines like Marauding Blight-Priest, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Starscape Cleric convert lifegain into direct life loss for all opponents. When Amalia reaches exactly 20 power, she wipes the board of all other creatures, clearing the path for lethal commander damage. Backed by cheap recursion like Dewdrop Cure and Phyrexian Reclamation, the deck maintains strong resilience against removal. While lacking fast combo finishes or high-end tutors, the dense redundancy of lifegain enablers and drain payoffs ensures a steady, compounding path to victory.
