Smaug by hozay17

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-red deck builds around Smaug the Magnificent as a Treasure engine and burn finisher. Smaug makes a Treasure each upkeep and deals damage equal to your Treasures to any target when he attacks. The deck fills the board with Dragons that create Treasures on entry or attack, uses Dragonspeaker Shaman and Goldspan Dragon to accelerate mana, and turns Treasures into extra Dragons and damage. It wins by attacking with large hasty Dragons, extra combats from Scourge of the Throne, and repeated Smaug and Dragon Tempest triggers. No infinite combo exists; the plan is fair, sequential combat and burn that needs several attacks to eliminate three opponents.
