Deck overview

This deck leverages Elminster to convert high-mana value spells into massive token armies and heavily discounted instant and sorcery casts. By using top-deck manipulation tools such as Brainstorm, Penance, and Hidden Retreat, the pilot places oversized cards like Draco (16 mana value) or Blinkmoth Infusion (14 mana value) directly on top of the library. Activating Elminster's -3 ability exiles the card to produce a matching swarm of 1/1 flying Faerie Dragons. The deck then accelerates its win clock with anthem effects like Gravitational Shift, Divine Visitation, or extra-turn spells such as Time Stretch and Temporal Trespass. A robust Azorius control shell packed with efficient countermagic, single-target removal, and asymmetric sweepers like Inundate protects the planeswalker and preserves the board until the aerial swarm overwhelms the table.
