Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General leads a Golgari token swarm and aristocrat deck built around Squirrel and Food mechanics. The deck's primary engine uses Chatterfang's static ability to double token production, converting every Food, Treasure, and creature token into additional 1/1 green Squirrels. This rapid token acceleration feeds high-impact mana engines like Cryptolith Rite and Growing Rites of Itlimoc, card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets, and repeatable removal through Chatterfang's activated ability. The deck closes games through go-wide combat overruns such as Beastmaster Ascension and Triumph of the Hordes, or through the infinite combo of Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak. Supported by efficient green protection spells, robust graveyard value, and flexible removal, the deck delivers a synergistic midgame game plan that transitions smoothly into decisive table kills.
