Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros combat deck commanded by Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost creatures and modifying them using +1/+1 counters, Equipment, and Role tokens during the early turns. On Turn 5, the deck deploys Sephiroth, and on Turn 6, it attacks to trigger Jenova Cells. This ability turns all modified creatures into base 7/5 behemoths, rapidly scaling small utility creatures into massive threats. Synergies like Akki Battle Squad and Breath of Fury grant additional combat steps, while cards like Swiftblade Vindicator and Chocobo Knights deliver double strike damage. Card velocity is sustained through impulse exile triggers on attack via Araña, Heart of the Spider and Commander Liara Portyr. While the deck features robust board recovery through Sephiroth's built-in Reunion ability, it relies heavily on connecting through combat and remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes.
