Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos Group Slug and punisher build led by Mogis, God of Slaughter. It accelerates mana in the opening turns to deploy continuous life-taxing permanents such as Zo-Zu the Punisher, Ankh of Mishra, Eidolon of the Great Revel, and Mogis. These cards consistently erode opposing life totals, penalize conventional resource development, and shut down life-gain strategies. Robust card advantage engines like Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, Black Market Connections, and Necrodominance maintain a steady flow of resources while stax pieces like Oppression and Manabarbs restrict opponents from executing their plans cleanly. The deck transitions into a lethal finish on Turn 5 by assembling compact two-card infinite drain loops, such as Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or an active Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank. Defensively, free spells like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick protect critical permanents and dismantle high-priority opposing threats.
