Deck overview

This is a Simic landfall/value deck built around Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The plan is to resolve Aesi, then turn every extra land drop into card draw, mana, and board presence. Winning is primarily combat-based: Rampaging Baloths and Scute Swarm generate a critical mass of tokens, Tanazir Quandrix turns that board into an alpha strike, and Koma, World-Eater provides an evasive, difficult-to-answer finisher. A parallel +1/+1 counter engine, supported by Hardened Scales, Evolution Sage, and proliferate effects, feeds the alternate win condition in Simic Ascendancy. There are no infinite combos in the 99; instead the deck seeks to bury opponents in landfall triggers and card advantage. Aesi is the best version of the engine, but the deck also carries redundant pieces in Oracle of Mul Daya, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, and Druid Class, allowing it to play through the commander being answered-albeit at a slower pace.
