Deck overview

This deck is a Naya combat control and goad strategy commanded by Marisi, Breaker of the Coil. It uses cheap, unblockable creatures with the shadow mechanic, such as Soltari Foot Soldier and Soltari Monk, to guarantee combat damage connections each turn. When these creatures deal combat damage, Marisi forces every opposing creature to attack players other than you, while simultaneously silencing opponents from casting spells during combat. The deck leverages this forced infighting to protect your life total and whittle down enemy boards. Meanwhile, card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Ohran Frostfang keep your hand full of high-impact protection and removal. The deck finishes games by overwhelming opponents with mass pump spells like Beastmaster Ascension and Akroma's Will, or by assembling an infinite combat phase combo with Aggravated Assault and Nature's Will.
