Deck overview

This deck is a Temur stompy strategy helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements. The deck's primary game plan focuses on casting Animar on curve, growing it with low-cost creatures and flexible hydras, and leveraging its generic mana cost reduction to deploy colossal threats turns ahead of schedule. Explosive spells such as Apex Devastator, Maelstrom Wanderer, and Kalonian Hydra generate overwhelming board presence, while haste enablers like Temur Ascendancy and Rhythm of the Wild allow the deck to convert mana velocity into combat damage immediately. Built-in protection from white and black grants Animar inherent safety against prevalent spot removal, though the list lacks targeted creature tutors, relying instead on high creature density and power-based card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising. Without infinite combo loops or stax elements, the deck seeks an honest, resilient victory by trampling through opposing life totals by Turn 7.
