Deck overview

This Golgari life-gain token deck is built around Blech, Loafing Pest, a 3/4 lord that puts +1/+1 counters on every Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider you control each time you gain life. The deck's primary plan is to generate a constant stream of life gain through creature deaths, token creation, and sacrifice triggers, then leverage that life gain to pump the board, drain opponents, or assemble infinite combos. The commander provides a scaling threat that turns every life-gain trigger into a board-wide anthem, but the real power lies in the 99: the deck contains multiple two-card infinite combos (Exquisite Blood + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose/Dina, Soul Steeper/Starscape Cleric, and Chain of Smog + Sedgemoor Witch) that can win independently of the commander. With a dense package of token generators, +1/+1 counter synergies, and efficient tutors, the deck can pivot between a go-wide combat plan and a lean combo finish.
