Deck overview

Teysa Karlov commands an Orzhov Aristocrats deck designed to grind down opponents through life drain and sacrificial value. The deck deploys disposable creature tokens using engines like Bitterblossom, Charismatic Conqueror, and Lingering Souls, then sacrifices them to free outlets such as Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Warren Soultrader, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. With Teysa Karlov on the battlefield, all death-triggered abilities trigger twice, doubling the impact of drain staples like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Bastion of Remembrance. The deck draws extensive cards through Skullclamp and Dark Prophecy, converting life and creatures into continuous gas. While vulnerable to mass exile effects and lacking counterspells or unconditional tutors, the list achieves high resilience through deep functional redundancy, efficient spot removal, and game-ending drain bursts.
