pirates by freescans2

Format: Commander

Commander: Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Malcolm/Kediss pirate-treasure build with no double-faced commanders. Kediss converts one commander combat hit into damage to all opponents, while Malcolm converts that damage into a burst of Treasure tokens. The primary path is aggressive: drop cheap Pirates, multiply Treasures through combat, then either pump Malcolm with Treasure-equipment (Gemcutter Buccaneer) for 21 commander damage to everyone, or cash Treasures in for Crackle with Power / animate them with Rise and Shine. Breeches, Brazen Plunderer acts as a hidden commander in the 99, repeating Malcolm's trigger for card advantage. Protection and counterspells keep the engine alive through wipes and hate pieces.
