Commander: Thalia and The Gitrog Monster

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a saga-tribal enchantress build helmed by Thalia and the Gitrog Monster, leveraging the card-draw and extra-land benefits of the commander alongside a dense saga engine. The primary game plan is to deploy early enchantress effects (Sythis, Harvest's Hand, Setessan Champion, Enchantress's Presence) for overwhelming card flow, then drop sagas to generate tokens, removal, and recursion. Counter manipulation via Garnet, Princess of Alexandria, Power Conduit, and Nesting Grounds lets the pilot skip or accelerate chapters to control timing. The deck wins through combat from saga creatures and token armies, or by draining opponents with Narci, Fable Singer's final-chapter triggers. Mass recursion spells like Eerie Ultimatum and Resurgent Belief act as reset buttons. Though the synergy is deep, the deck lacks fast combos and is vulnerable to enchantment wipes.
