Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green stompy strategy centered on Kona, Rescue Beastie. It pairs dense 1-mana ramp and tap enablers—such as Springleaf Drum, Jaspera Sentinel, and Citanul Stalwart—to deploy Kona on Turn 3 and immediately tap it safely without risking combat damage. In the second main phase of Turn 4, Kona's Survival ability triggers, cheating overwhelming high-cost permanents like Worldspine Wurm, Sandwurm Convergence, and Stonehoof Chieftain directly into play. The deck scales this board advantage across subsequent turns, using overrun finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth and power doublers like Unnatural Growth to close out the game around Turn 7. Its primary strengths lie in exceptional mana tempo and game-ending creature density. However, it relies heavily on combat damage over three full response cycles and suffers from hand depletion if it fails to resolve draw engines like The Great Henge.
