Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis value-aggro strategy helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, built entirely around the "amass Orcs" and "the Ring tempts you" mechanics from the Lord of the Rings set. The primary game plan is to cast Sauron early, use his triggered ability - amassing an Orc Army whenever an opponent casts a spell - and then convert the Ring-tempt trigger into a massive card-advantage engine (discard your hand, draw four). The deck supplements this with a dense package of Ring-tempt payoffs (Call of the Ring, the four Nazgul, In the Darkness Bind Them, etc.), incremental token generators, and a few high-impact finishers like Scourge of the Throne for extra combats. Secondary win conditions come from Lord of the Nazgul generating a horde of Wraiths and Living Death for a one-sided mass reanimation. The deck wins through combat damage rather than infinite combos, grinding out opponents with card advantage and a growing army.
