Deck overview

This deck is a proactive Naya token swarm strategy commanded by Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap nontoken utility creatures and ramp in the opening turns, casting Ghired on Turn 3, and then generating high-impact tokens on Turn 4 and Turn 5. By granting all nontoken creatures the ability to tap and duplicate tokens that entered this turn, Ghired enables explosive exponential board growth. While the list contains an un-tutored infinite combo in Splinter Twin and Village Bell-Ringer, its primary win condition is overwhelming the table through combat with massive token armies or burning opponents out with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors. To safeguard its wide creature investments, the deck runs a dense package of protective instants such as Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention. Its principal vulnerabilities are a lack of noncreature removal and a reliance on natural card draws.
