Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Naya Lands and +1/+1 counters combat deck led by Toph, the First Metalbender. Toph converts all nontoken artifacts into lands and earthbends a land every end step, creating resilient animated land creatures that automatically return to the battlefield tapped if destroyed or exiled. The deck accelerates using low-cost mana rocks, artifact lands, and landfall creatures, establishing Toph and an active engine by Turn 4. From there, counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and The Earth Crystal combine with aggressive payoffs such as Bumi, Unleashed, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and Toph, Greatest Earthbender to push overwhelming combat damage on Turn 5 and close the game on Turn 6. While vulnerable to bounce wipes and fast combo decks due to light stack interaction, the deck exhibits exceptional resilience against standard creature removal and wipes because earthbent lands ramp the deck whenever they die.
