Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Doctor Doom, Unrivaled as a commander that functions simultaneously as a 4/4 lifelink combatant and a repeatable card advantage engine. The primary game plan revolves around assembling a synergistic board of Marvel Villains, creating evasive menace tokens through cards like Madame Masque and Construct a Cosmic Cube, and applying continuous life drain with Crossbones, Malicious Mercenary and Doom Reigns Supreme. While the deck operates primarily at a midrange combat tempo, it also carries a compact alternative win condition in Doomsday, which empties the library to allow Doctor Doom's tap ability to trigger an immediate victory. The strategy is reinforced by a heavy suite of mono-black creature removal and graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to noncreature permanents and mass sweepers due to thin fast mana and limited stack protection.
