Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Midrange Stompy strategy commanded by Bello, Bard of the Brambles. The game plan accelerates mana on early turns, casts Bello on Turn 3, and begins dropping 4-mana and 5-mana non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments on Turn 4. Bello animates these permanents into 4/4 indestructible, hasty Elementals during your turn that draw cards when they hit players. By Turn 5, damage doublers like Gratuitous Violence and Unnatural Growth or evasion engines like Thunderhawk Gunship convert your utility permanents into a lethal army. Because your animated permanents revert to non-creature permanents during opposing turns, they naturally dodge sorcery-speed creature board wipes. The deck wins by repeatedly slamming resilient threats, refilling the hand through combat damage, and overwhelming opponents over a rapid three-turn clock.
