Tidus Counters by Smaquis

Format: Commander

Commander: Tidus, Yuna's Guardian

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Bant +1/+1 counter deck that plans to amass counters on cheap creatures, use Tidus, Yuna's Guardian to consolidate them onto an attacker, and convert combat damage into draw and proliferation. The primary path is a wide, evasive combat kill, with Walking Ballista as a secondary mana-sink finish after enough counters and multipliers are assembled. Yuna, Grand Summoner is the hidden commander in the 99: she ramps and puts two extra counters on the next creature, accelerating the cheer plan. Falco Spara, Pactweaver acts as a secondary counter-fueled card-advantage engine. Most games end in a single alpha strike after doubling effects such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Kami of Whispered Hopes, The Earth Crystal, and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire make several creatures enormous.
