The great gobbling by FlippinFlappin

Format: Commander

Commander: The Great Goblin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos goblin/Orc amass-tribal aggro deck built around The Great Goblin, who converts every counter placed on a Goblin, Orc, or Army into 2 damage to an opponent. The deck's dozen-plus amass effects - Book of Mazarbul, Bothersome Noisemaker, Warg Rider, Misty Mountains Raider, Gathering of Darkness, Tidings of War - double as direct damage and build a single enormous Army, while goblin token engines (Krenko, Mob Boss, Boggart Mischief, Searslicer Goblin) feed sacrifice outlets like Skirk Prospector, Skullclamp, and Mayhem Devil for mana, cards, and reach. The Great Goblin's death trigger also exiles the top card of the library for delayed play, giving the deck a pseudo-card-advantage engine. Wins come from an overwhelming menaced alpha strike, sacrifice-drain pressure, an out-of-nowhere Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts infinite, and a Doomsday + Doctor Doom, Unrivaled empty-library backup.
